CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE
The US State Department on Thursday, March 19, issued an extraordinary advisory urging Americans not to travel overseas and to return to the United States if they can, a move that comes amid concerns about the coronavirus pandemic. The Level 4 travel advisory for all international travel appears to be unprecedented and is the most severe such warning issued by the department. It urges American citizens who live abroad or otherwise cannot reach the U.S. to essentially stay where they are and avoid crossing international boundaries. The Quarantine Directive from the Jamaican Government is out of our control, and Hedonism II has set no specific end date, the Government of Jamaica will determine that. Other issues like flights and travel restrictions placed by other countries on their nationals are also not in our control. We will continue to keep our partners and guests updated as best we can with any relevant information that we have. It’s essential to refer to only those official communications as there is a lot of chatter on Social Media and elsewhere that may be either not updated or misinformed. We encourage everyone to follow health protocols in preventing the spread of COVID-19 as the world’s safety is the highest priority. For all those who have bookings for arrival through August 31, 2020, Hedonism II will provide complimentary Cancel For Any Reason waivers. The policy has been amended in consideration of the Coronavirus: “You will be allowed to cancel or change your hotel arrangements for any reason up to the day of arrival on the island. This Cancellation Waiver does NOT cover flights, lost baggage, trip interruption or any optional activities such as sightseeing, spa/salon services, wedding license processing fees, and extras. The Cancellation Waiver only covers the cost of your hotel stay. This Cancellation Waiver Benefit is provided by Hedonism II and is not an insurance benefit.
IMPORTANT: THE CANCELLATION WAIVER DOES NOT OFFER A CASH REFUND BUT ALLOWS YOU TO CHANGE DATES WITHOUT PENALTY. THE VALUE OF YOUR HOTEL PORTION WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO A FUTURE DATE UP TO DECEMBER 20, 2021. IT IS UP TO EACH INDIVIDUAL TO CONTACT YOUR AIRLINE TO DETERMINE THE BEST COURSE OF ACTION.
As a show of good faith and without prejudice, Hedonism II will also offer a $200 Resort Credit to be used for on-property purchases (Gift Shop, Wine Bar, Spa Services and Espresso Bar) to those who rebook for a future stay through December 20, 2021.
